So beyond speaking to people on the streets, schools, churches, via social media, print and electronic media etc, we decided to take our roving camera to the streets. It’s important for us to know exactly how much or how little people people know about special needs, especially Cerebral Palsy.
We also got a mom to share her experience. This video is NOT an appeal for financial support but all the same, if you can do anything to help this child and several others like him please do not hesitate.
There are so many realities out there we pray not to experience. Like I said earlier please do not just type ‘God bless you’ or ‘like’, do what you can to help.
This video below is shared with the consent of the parent in it.
The Engraced Ones Convener, Madam Biboara and Miracle were privileged to share their experiences with disability in a program organized by the Ministry of Women Affairs as part of its efforts to celebrate persons with disability and to hear their challenges and proffer solutions to same.
According to Our Convener, it was a laudable programme and she appreciates Mr Daniel Isiuwe for the invite. Things are actually brightening up in the disability space and we pray for the full implementing of the disability act in Nigeria.
2020 was a season of blossoming as the School of Grace had it’s first Inclusive sporting event. We also had parents over in a book reading on World Book Day!
In this activity, the children are showcasing their ability and creativity. With this piece of art, they were able to show-case their psychomotor skills because they were all participated in the activity.
It finally happened! The official lunch of the Group, Individual and Family Social Health Insurance Programme ( GIFSHIP) today 26th November was a dream come true.
While applauding the Ministry of Health and the National Health Insurance Scheme for putting together the wonderful program which promises to breach the health gap between the rich and the poor, the employed and the unemployed, and the public and the private sector, we pray for its effective completion.
We sincerely appreciate the Rotary Club Abuja ( Grand Father) for adopting 20 children from the Engraced Ones and paying their bills upfront for the year 2020/2021. As I sat in the hall, I recalled the tears, the grief, the prayers, fasting, and lobbying we went through for a program like this to be initiated.
I say a big congratulations to the Engraced family, Rotary Club, Abuja (Grand Father), N.H.I.S, Ministry of Health, and the Nigerian Nation. This is the way to go!!!
