WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY ‘Connect’
The society, family and the individual with the condition lose out when we don’t give them opportunity to connect nicely with the society.

In February last year, the Educational Arm of the Engraced Ones ( The School of Grace Learning & Vocational Centre) hosted an inclusive sporting event.
It was wonderful seeing the confidence our children exuded as they are ‘struggled’ to complete each task. For us, it wasn’t a completion because we reward ‘effort’ and not necessarily ‘result’.
It was more fun to see the ‘neurological children’ embrace our children without any trace of discrimination and mockery.
Help make the world a better place by spreading LOVE, not rejection.

The Engraced Ones is a Prayer and Advocacy Group for special needs funded by God himself using members and friends of the Organisation.
Now we know the cost of managing a special child particularly in Nigeria where individuals bear every single cost for the management of special needs is very high. This is one of the reasons I get super excited when kind-hearted people like this particular Engraced mom, forget about their personal challenges and solve problems for others.
Today we are dedicating to the Lord, the gifts of a Generator Set and a Public Address System.
This year, we identified the need for; A Generator set, Public Address system, Additional equipment in the playground, Gadgets to boast our vocational section, and A school bus.
Just within a few weeks of expressing these needs, blessings have started pouring in.
The Lord who did it earlier than we expected will do the same for you in the name of Jesus Amen.

Catch them young!
One of the goals of the Engraced One’s Prayer and Advocacy Initiative is to promote acceptance and reduce the evils of segregation, discrimination, and the de-humanization of persons with disabilities to the barest minimum through the mobilization of children and youths.
It was heartwarming and indeed a dream come true when our children who the world perceive as ‘perfect’ and their friends had their first sit out ever! More interesting was the fact that they were accompanied by a few youths who themselves have one form of disability or the ability.
In the past few years, they had tagged behind us parents in speaking up for their siblings who were born different. By this, I mean with conditions like autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and much more.
These young stars have come up with a strong message;
WE LOVE OUR SPECIAL SIBLINGS, WE SEE BEYOND THEIR DISABILITY AND WE DEMAND THEIR INCLUSION IN ALL SPHERES OF LIFE.

Still reflecting on the gains of the year 2020 I cannot but give praise to God.
Being on the set with Osasu Igbinedion of the famous Weekend Show, Barr Ify Okenyi (now Peterkins Itoe) and several other dignitaries was a feat I hold in high esteem.
Speaking about disability is a passion for me, particularly when it has to do with children.
You can still be part of the conversation you know.
