You 10 today? Wow Mimi I didn’t know it’ll be done fast! Dearest Mimi mama baby girl! I celebrate all that you represent. I acknowledge all you’ve been through and all your present struggles. I appreciate and celebrate the more where you’re going.
There’s no gain in saying you have a goodly heritage or that you’re a blessed seed. It would be an understatement to announce to the world that you came with a unique assignment. You were chosen to be a door opener, a liberator, and a source of hope and comfort to many.
We, as your parents were carefully selected by the Most-high God to share in your purpose and help nurture you into a polished and garnished vessel, fit for the creator’s use.
God’s creative hand is upon you baby girl because I see you evolve every day! But then, do I see limits around you? Yes!!!
Do I have questions about your future? Yes!!!
Do I have fears and concerns? I sure do baby!!!
Am I proud of you? You bit!
Has your life re-defined my purpose??? you know what my response is, don’t you??? The Lord played a fast one on the devil
You know what Miebi? Through you, I birthed millions isn’t God humorous?
So now I’ll just do one of those things I learned because you came.
PRAY…
Father, I give you praise today. Thank you for making me the mother of an exceptional child.
Thank You for breaking every ordinance of the devil and for establishing her in a glorified path above human wisdom.
Thank you for taking her far above the expectations and predictions of doctors.
Thank you for sustaining other children diagnosed with Down syndrome and for making them break limits.
Thank you Lord for engracing us her parents and siblings with the spirits of faith and grace to pull through this special parenting responsibility.
Father, I use Your life-transforming Word to break like hammer every report that negates your glorious verdict over my child.
I Over-write the verdict of chromosomal error with perfection. I cancel the verdict of intellectual disability with your Word that says my children shall be of quick understanding and that Jesus grew in wisdom.
I cancel the verdict of abnormal physical appearance with Your word that says Jesus grew in stature.
I cancel discrimination with your Word that says Jesus grew in favor before God and men.
I cancel the medical expectation of shortened lifestyle with Your word that says You will satisfy us with long life.
Daddy, You promised in Your Word that I shall have what I say. I declare that my child shall give me peace and not evil and that my child was gloriously birthed and not a product of error.
Thank you Father because MIRACLE IS A MIRACLE AND NOT A DISEASE!
I declare that you shall thrive and blossom daughter!
I call you Beulah and Hephibah!
I degree that our parenting path over you is smooth!
From now all around you there shall be evidence that you have being visited!!!

Still reflecting on the gains of the year 2020 I cannot but give praise to God.
Being on the set with Osasu Igbinedion of the famous Weekend Show, Barr Ify Okenyi (now Peterkins Itoe) and several other dignitaries was a feat I hold in high esteem.
Speaking about disability is a passion for me, particularly when it has to do with children.
You can still be part of the conversation you know.
2020 was a season of blossoming as the School of Grace had it’s first Inclusive sporting event.
We also had parents over in a book reading on World Book Day!
In this activity, the children are showcasing their ability and creativity. With this piece of art, they were able to show-case their psychomotor skills because they were all participated in the activity.

My name is Ugochukwu and I’m 11 years old. I love to dance, sing, make new friends, and share some laughter with them. I just love life and I look forward to a beautiful tomorrow!
Though I have gone through a lot in my quest to catch up with my mates in many ways, my life is beautiful. Down Syndrome can’t put me down because God created me in His own image. And God’s image is glorious!
Please note that this story is shared with the parental concept. We at the Engraced Ones deeply appreciate parents who are willing to create awareness and build acceptance at all costs!
