Voices in Motion: Co-Creation Lab for Inclusive Advocacy and Organisational Growth

The Engraced One joined 5 other underrepresented organisations of persons with disabilities (OPDs) in the Voice in Motion: Co-Creation Lab for Inclusive Advocacy and Organizational Growth implemented in Nigeria and Zimbabwe.

The Co-Creation Lab filled with energy, collaboration, and purpose, brought together passionate voices from underrepresented disability groups to co-create new possibilities for inclusion.

The Lab is a key component of the Right in Action Project, jointly implemented by the Inclusive Friends Association(IFA) and the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD National) with technical support from CBM Global Disability Inclusion and     funding from the Finland Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Day 1 set the tone for a week of learning, growth, and collaboration, truly taking particiapnts from ideas to impact.

Day 2 took a deep dive into priority areas for advocacy and Co-Creation working sessions.

Day 3 underrepresented OPDs collapsed into clusters with similar vision, mission and areas of interest to form 3 clusters:

I. Psychosocial disabilities

II. Intellectual disabilities

III. Deaf/Hearing impairment

Day 4 OPDs stood shoulder to shoulder exchanging bold strategies and innovative visions to come-up with an inclusive advocacy priority to drive change.
