Elizabeth Olufunke Olatoye

Fondly known as Funke, Elizabeth Olufunke Olatoye is a dedicated advocate for children with special needs. With a background in Primary Education Studies, her deep compassion and unwavering commitment are reflected in every aspect of her work. As a mother, she has also had to manage one of her children( now deceased ) with special needs. She resides in Abuja and happily married to Brig Gen Olasunkanmi Olatoye(rtd), who is also a fellow advocate and sports enthusiast.

Funke is widely celebrated as the vibrant “dance machine” of The Engraced Ones, bringing energy and joy to numerous advocacy events—including organizing awareness walks and even dancing on trucks across long distances to draw attention to the cause.

She currently leads the School of Grace Learning and Vocational Centre, which is the educational arm of The Engraced Ones, where she combines leadership with a heart for service. In addition to her work in education, she is a thriving entrepreneur and manages the Grace Fishpond, a sustainability initiative supported by Liliane Fonds and The Leprosy Mission Nigeria.

Known affectionately by learners as “Mama Christmas,” Funke brings festive cheer each year by playing Santa Claus during the End of Year Celebrations. Her generosity was especially evident during the COVID-19 Pandemic, she was the special Santa Claus who visited 56 children in their homes to lift their spirits.

Elizabeth Olufunke Olatoye is a beacon of hope and a source of inspiration to all who know her. Her passion, dedication, and joyful spirit makes her a treasured member of The Engraced Ones Board.
