Working with professionals, groups/organizations, government agencies and institutions to advance the lives of children living with special needs through advocacy and strategic engagements.
The Engraced Ones is excited to have been able to encourage parents to step out of shame, denial and self blame to a point of confidence and pride in their children.
In the Engraced Ones, we do not just identify a problem, we seek out solutions. For instance, we noticed our children were rejected in schools, we didn’t chicken out and hide them away at home, we created the school of our dreams for them.
When we saw that neurotypical children mocked our children at school and in the playgrounds, we came up with advocacy clubs in primary (elementary) and secondary (high) schools across the Federal Capital Territory and Nasarawa State of Nigeria. The Inclusive African Children’s Runway was another attempt to breach the gap between neurodiverse and neurotypical children.
The Engraced Ones believe that children with developmental differences can if exposed to the right environment, thrive and break boundaries in sports. Our way to prove that was to introduce the Inclusive Interschool competition.
At the moment, a young adult in the group is at the finishing stage of her first degree programme. Several have acquired vocational skills that will position them for a future of financial independence.
Above all, a few learners from the School of Grace had been sucessfully integrated into mainstream programmes.

“When my son was diagnosed with autism, I felt completely lost. Schools around us refused to admit him, and I didn’t know where to turn. Joining The Engraced Ones changed everything. Not only did they provide emotional support through counseling, but their School of Grace gave my child a place to learn, grow, and thrive. Today, my son is more confident, and I’m so grateful to be part of this amazing community that truly understands and supports families like mine.”
“Volunteering with The Engraced Ones has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I’ve seen firsthand how their initiatives, like the Annual Prayer and Advocacy Walk, have touched lives and changed perceptions about individuals with developmental disabilities. It’s inspiring to see children shine at events like the Inclusive African Children’s Runway—it’s a powerful reminder that every child has potential. Being part of this mission has truly enriched my perspective on inclusion and acceptance.”
“The support my family received from The Engraced Ones has been life-changing. With their help, we started a small tailoring business, which has allowed us to provide for our daughter with cerebral palsy. Beyond the financial help, the prayer group and counseling sessions have given us hope and strength to keep going. The Engraced Ones is more than an organization; it’s a family that walks with you through every challenge.”
